When several leaks appeared in my roof and deck simultaneously—right in the middle of an atmospheric river—Amir didn’t hesitate. He systematically tracked down the sources of the leaks, corrected the shoddy workmanship left by previous tradespeople, and saw the job through despite the challenging conditions. At every step, Amir took the time to explain the underlying problem, outline the required work, and provide a clear cost estimate. He communicated well and always arrived when he said he would. His persistence and attention to detail gave me complete confidence that the repairs would be done properly—and they were. We moved to our new house in December 2019. Our favourite architect had designed the house on the basis of our needs and our budget. We selected Amir Sabour of Stoneway Homes, as our construction manager based on previous work and recommendation from our architect. The construction started in October 2018 and we moved into a beautiful house 14 months later, in spite of weather conditions and a difficult lot. Throughout the construction Amir Sabour planned, programmed and executed the various construction activities with knowledge, patience and dedication to excellence. He selected the various trades on the basis of their background, experience and best quotes given and he had a good working relationship with them. The lot was very steep and not easy to build on, needing the involvement of geotechnical engineers and more earthworks than expected. He worked well with the team of engineers and the authorities at the district of West Vancouver for the various permits, inspections and occupancy permit. He gave us plenty of advance time, to choose the finishing materials so everything was decided and the materials were on site long before the specific activity was to start. Due to the efficient programming the construction was smooth and without delays. Overall, we were very happy with the experience of working with Amir Sabour and would not hesitate to recommend him and his company to anyone interested in using his expertise and knowledge in construction.
